 E.R. “Pony” Maples, one of the founders of Military Systems Group,
Inc., has retired from his position as President as of January 1,
2008.
Pony co-founded the company in 1984 with Kathryn Horton who passed away
in May of 2007 of breast cancer. Pony and Kay’s drive and
determination brought the company through frequently difficult
times—positioning us for the success we are experiencing today.
Pony’s expertise in weapon mounting systems is reflected in the
quality of the MSG product line and the company owes him an
eternal debt of gratitude for the contribution he has made. Pony
will continue to work with the company on a consultant basis.
William Horton, the son of
Kathryn Horton, will fill the position of President. Lydia Horton, Kay’s
daughter, will continue to provide oversight to the day to day operations of the
company.
