We use a highly-selective, local base of suppliers for the bulk of our production.
We handle all prototyping in-house, and sometimes we’re able to provide a more efficient process if we handle all manufacturing in-house as well.
This supplier model also gives us the capability to grow and contract to match the normal peaks and valleys in the supply chain. Large orders or contracts that reach their end don’t create the internal chaos of mass hiring and layoffs and allow us to keep our focus on production quality.
All final assembly is conducted in-house. That is our final stage of quality control and we never ship a part unless we are satisfied it will function in the field the way it’s designed to.
We have very high standards for our suppliers. By utilizing a smaller, more flexible group of vendors, we work with people who can get the job done and done right. Predominantly local, many of these companies have been with us for several years and share our philosophy and values.
