The swing-arm system has been our signature product and an important component of our relationship with the special operations community. In fact, earlier versions of the system, the SA1 and SA2, were the projects that began this collaboration, which we greatly value. U.S. Army Special Forces initially contracted with us for just over 200 swing arms for use on their GMV-S, a variation of the standard HMMWV. Through the years we have continually improved and expanded the range of this product line – from single arms to double arms to systems solely for helicopter use.
The newest version, the SA10, incorporates into its design the factors facing current operations. Weight considerations have come to the forefront in ground vehicles, since combat vehicles are often pushing their weight limits, reducing cross-country mobility. To address this issue, the SA10 is 40% lighter than earlier versions, with improved friction locks. In addition, it is easier to disassemble and maintain.
