The H24 Machine Gun Mount accepts the M240/Mag 58 and M249/Minimi and is designed for use as primary weapons on small gunboats or secondary weapons on large gunboats. This MK93 Machine Gun Mount is a new (2004) stronger design by the U.S. Army. The mount accepts the M2HB 12.7mm machine gun or the MK19 40mm machine gun and is designed for use on HMMWV’s, trucks and armored vehicles. With its small pintle it fits into a variety of tripods, pedestals and the Universal Pintle Adapter (UPA). The left rail supports an interface plate that accepts a variety of quick removable ammo can holders. The M2HB weapon is held in place by front and rear stainless steel ball lock pins. A slider system with two hydraulic shock absorbers reduce firing shock in both recoil and counter recoil for the M2HB. The normal recoil of 1200 pounds is reduced to under 500 pounds peak.

The MK19 weapon that has internal shock absorbers is held in place with a stainless steel rear pin and 2 studs in front allowing the weapon to slide back and forth in the mount. A train stop block and depression stop assembly provide travel stop limits. An elevation travel lock pin locks the carriage to the cradle making it much easier to install a weapon. Holes in the carriage are provided for installation of armor brackets and Armor Shield (M35-021).

An optional Adapter Kit (M35-800) manufactured by MSG, provides for installation of the M240 or the M249 weapons. It is not recommended to use this Machine Gun Mount with the Swing Arm system or in Naval applications due to its fabrication using carbon steel.

The Kit includes an adapter that fits into the MK93 when configured for the MK19 weapon. The adapter is installed by sliding two front slots over the two MK19 mounting studs and pinning the rear in place using the MK19 cross pin. A modified 12.7 mm ammo can holder allows it to also hold the 200 round 7.62 mm ammo can and a bracket with spring clip for a 5.56 mm 200 round ammo drum is supplied with the Kit. This ammo can holder and the 5.56 mm bracket fit into the rear slotted holes on the left side of MK93. This adapter allows the M240 or M249 weapons to be installed in the MK93 Machine Gun Mount in less than 1minute. The adapter kit is made from noncorrosive materials and is in use by the U.S. Military.

The H24-3 Weapons Mount was designed to be used with the Swing Arm mounting system. An H24-3 mount accepts the M240 / MAG 58 7.62 mm and M249 5.56 mm machine guns. This weapons mount has a bracket for attaching 5.56 mm plastic ammo cans and a 7.62 mm ammo can holder. An H24-3 is a very versatile mount allowing it to be used with 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns without any additional brackets or adapters.

UPA Universal Pintle Adapter

The Universal Pintle Adapter ins an assembly in which the MK93 Machine Gun Mount is mounted. The Universal Pintle Adapter is equipped with an azimuth indicator bar that allows the attaching of a T&E mechanism. This allows the operator a stable gun system in which to engage targets at a greater distance.

The Traversing & Elevation Mechanism is used to control the train and elevation of the gun system. It connects from the rear of the MK93 Machine Gun Mount to the UPA Universal Pintle Adapter Azimuth Indicator Bar. This Allows the operator to manipulate the gun system in small increments.

H24-6 Machine Gun Mount with Adapter Kit is designed to be used in conjunction with the Universal Pintle Adapter (UPA) and the Traversing and Elevation Mechanism (T&E). The gun system is intended to incorporate the M240B and the M249 SAW into the Universal Pintle Adapter with the ability to utilize the Traversing and Elevating Mechanism. The H24-6 Machine Gun Mount with Adapter Kit has a locking device in which the gun mount is locked into the Universal Pintle Adapter while utilizing the M1114 Armor Shield in the primary weapon position.
