The Standard Height MK16 Tripod is a tripod with no stand on top. The MK16 MOD 8 Stand includes the bronze stand with train stop with no tripod.The MK16 train stop includes the stop, clamp, and Hardware.The MK16 train stop includes the stop, clamp, and hardware. It is necessary to machine the correct stop position for both left and right train before installation. The MK16 MOD 2 Stand includes the tripod, bronze stand, and train stop and is designed to work with the MK93 Gun Mount for either vehicle or boat application.

The MK93 with M2HB weapon requires a working circle of at least 8 feet. Large trucks such as the FMTV are ideal for this weapon system. Trucks such as the HMMWV do not have sufficient working circle when firing either left or right. (See POP as an alternative.) The MK16 MOD 8 Stand is used when there is already a structure of suitable height (34 to 36 inches) and strength to mount it on, such as a boat towing bit or a cargo truck rail. Because of the high recoil weapons that are fired from the system, it is necessary to bolt the tripod feet to a reinforced foundation (hard points) to preclude damage to the vehicle and/or uncontrolled fire.

All components of the MK16 family of stands are safety certified by U.S. Navy and are fabricated from noncorrosive materials. The MK16 family of stands is in use with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army.

The POP is a seated rotating gun mount pedestal designed to accept the Bearing Sleeve (M70-299), Traversing and Elevating Mechanism, T & E (M98-012), Universal Pintle Adapter, UPA (M98-011), MK93 Machine Gun Mount (M36-001) and Adapter (M35-800). The following weapons can be utilized in the complete system: M2HB 12.7 mm, MK19 40 mm, M240 7.62 mm, M249 5.56 mm. By having an offset pintle socket the rear working circle radius is only 25 inches allowing the POP to function in a narrow vehicle or boat. The seat is quickly removable so that the system can be used with a standing gunner. A mechanical brake is employed to lock the POP in train. The seat is adjustable in height. The POP is available made from noncorrosive materials for marine applications. The POP is in service with the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.

The SRS is a seated rotating gun mount stand designed to accept the Stand MK16 MOD8, Part No. M03-200 and MK93 Gun Mount Part No. M35-015. A depression stop and stow lock are also available. The M2HB 12.7 mm and MK19 40 mm machine guns can be utilized in the system. By having an offset pintle socket the rear working circle radius is only 25 inches allowing the SRS to function in a narrow vehicle or boat. The seat is adjustable in height and can be provided with rear armor. A mechanical brake is employed to lock the SRS in train.

The SRS is made from noncorrosive materials for marine applications. The SRS is in service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps and is safety certified by the US Marine Corps.
